David Hosilyk received his B.A. in international relations from the University of Southern California, where he graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated with distinction and served as a Comment Staff Writer and Articles Editor of the Pacific Law Journal. While at McGeorge, Mr. Hosilyk also received American Jurisprudence Awards in the areas of tort law and legal research and writing.
Before law school, Mr. Hosilyk worked as a marketing manager in the portable computer and electronics industry. In addition, during his third year of law school, Mr. Hosilyk worked for the Department of Justice at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Sacramento, California, where he served as the Chief Law Clerk of the Misdemeanor Unit and was responsible for prosecuting federal misdemeanors in the U.S. District Courts.
Mr. Hosilyk represents clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including matters before state and federal courts and government agencies. Mr. Hosilyk routinely handles matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and state and federal wage-and-hour issues. He also regularly counsels clients on how to manage within the law. In addition Mr. Hosilyk routinely provides on-site training to managers on various employment law topics.
Mr. Hosilyk is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the Eastern District of California, the Central District of California, the District of Colorado, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, as well as all California courts. He is also a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
